EDC Night Hike

To kick off our after-hours hike season we are hosting a special themed hike. Our Electric Desert Canyons (EDC) hike is family friendly, but we are encouraging hikers to come dressed in fun (family friendly) colorful outfits. Neon colors, glow sticks, face paint, tutus, friendship bracelets, etc. are encouraged. This self-guided hike starts at the Monumental Mammoth and will be on the Las Vegas Wash Trail (1.5 miles).

Please make sure that your outfit is appropriate for the weather and for the potential hazards of the desert. There will be no amplified music allowed during this event.

Time: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Need to Know

• This hike is limited to 100 people and registration is REQUIRED. Individuals that show up and are unregistered will be turned away. This form will stop accepting reservations once we reach capacity or 12 pm 5/09/26, whichever comes first.
• Participants MUST arrive between 7:30-8:00 pm. If you arrive outside of that time frame the gates will be closed. The event ends at 9:30 pm and all visitors must exit the park by then.
• Flashlights are required (minimum of 1 for every 2 people) and red lights are preferred since they are less disruptive to wildlife. UV flashlights are welcome if you are looking for fluorescent wildlife.
• Pets are not allowed for safety purposes.
• Minors under 17 must be accompanied by an adult and always stay with that adult.
• Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.
• The museum space will be closed for this event, but the visitor center gift shop will be open during check-in, and the restrooms will be open for the duration of the event.

What to Expect

• A glimpse of the park after dark

• The Las Vegas Wash Trail is 1.5 miles long over uneven terrain with steps, steep slopes, and gravely surfaces. Most of the Las Vegas Wash Trail is not appropriate for wheelchairs or mobility devices.
• Arrival is from 7:30-8:00 pm.
• This event ends at 9:30 pm and all park visitors must be exiting the park by that time.

• The $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies. We do not accept Tap to Pay/Apple Pay or American Express.
• There is no additional cost for this program.
