Ranger Led Morning Hike

A Ranger led hike will lead you through lush pockets of green that wind their way up Sandstone Canyon and then around the shores of the clear waters of Lake Harriet.

This is a moderate to strenuous hike that will last 2 hours and cover 2 miles. There is approximately 300 feet of elevation gain through uneven terrain as we explore and learn about the amazing Mojave desert.

This is a family friendly hike and dogs are allowed but must be under control and remain on a 6 foot leash at all times. Animal waste will be picked up and of disposed by the owner.

Please arrive by 8:15 AM as the hike leaves promptly at 8:30 AM. Because we will be hiking in restricted areas, all hikers will need to remain with the Ranger for the duration of the hike.

WHEN: Friday, October 15th, 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, located 11 miles down Highway 159 from the I-215 / West Charleston Boulevard intersection. 6375 Nevada Hwy 159, Blue Diamond NV 89004

COST: Entry to Spring Mountain State Park is $10.00 per vehicle for Nevada residents and $15 per vehicle for out-of-state visitors and there is no additional fee for the hike. Please be prepared to pay with cash and exact change.
