Ranger Led Day Hike

A Ranger led hike will lead you through lush pockets of green that wind their way up Sandstone Canyon and then around the shores of the clear waters of Lake Harriet.

This is a moderate to strenuous hike that will last 2 hours and cover 2 miles. There is approximately 300 feet of elevation gain through uneven terrain as we explore and learn about the amazing Mojave desert.

This is a family friendly hike and dogs are allowed but must be under control and remain on a 6 foot leash at all times. Animal waste will be picked up and of disposed by the owner.

Please arrive by 8:45 AM as the hike leaves promptly at 9:00 AM. Because we will be hiking in restricted areas, all hikers will need to remain with the Ranger for the duration of the hike.

WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, 6375 Nevada Hwy 159, Blue Diamond NV 89004. On Highway 159, we are located 11 miles west from the I-215 / West Charleston Boulevard intersection or 6 miles north of the junction of Highway 160 (Blue Diamond Hwy) and Highway 159.

COST: Entry to Spring Mountain State Park is $10.00 per vehicle for Nevada residents and $15 per vehicle for out-of-state visitors and there is no additional fee for the event.
