Plant identification hike

Spooner Lake Nevada

Discover the many plants that call Spooner Lake home and learn how to identify them on this ranger-led hike. The event will take about two hours, and involves a relatively easy two-mile hike with numerous stops along the way. Participants should carry water, wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots and bring a small notebook and pencil to sketch plants and their leaves. No experience is necessary.

WHEN: Due to snow levels, this hike has been cancelled and will be rescheduled to a future date.

WHERE: Meet in the upper section of the parking lot. Spooner Lake State Park is located .25 miles north of Highway 50 on State Route 28 in Glenbrook, NV.

COST:  Event is free, but park entrance fees apply. Entry is $10 per vehicle, Nevada residents receive a $2 discount.
