Once Upon a Trail

Dayton State Park

Join park staff and River Wranglers for a fun-filled, family-friendly morning as they read the children’s book Whose Tracks are These? while discussing local wildlife such as bats, snakes, beavers, and birds. Participants will go for a short walk to the Carson River to look for signs of wildlife and then make their own plaster animal tracks to take home! This program was funded by the Bessie Minor Swift Foundation. We suggest bringing a picnic and having lunch in the park after the program!
