Full Moon Hike

Washoe Lake State Park

This month’s full moon is a “super moon,” slightly larger and brighter than normal. Join park staff for a guided full moon hike along the North Loop Trail. This is a 3.5 mile loop, beginning from the North Boat Ramp parking lot. It is an easy hike, but involves loose sand and uneven ground. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times. Participants should dress in layers for the weather, wear comfortable hiking shoes, bring drinking water, and bring a flashlight.

WHEN: Monday, March 9, 2020, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Washoe Lake State Park North Boat Ramp parking lot. Take Exit 10 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. approximately six miles. Turn left onto Douglas Drive, and drive west, 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Lakeshore Drive and take an immediate left turn into the park.

COST: The park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. There is no additional charge for this event.
