Experiencing the Atlatl

Valley of Fire State Park

The Atlatl predates the bow and arrow and was commonly used by Native Americans of this area to hunt bighorn sheep. Join a ranger and discover the history of the Atlatl and the people who used it. Participants will get to try their hand at throwing an Atlatl dart.

WHEN: Sunday, November 3rd 10:00 am-11:00 am

WHERE: Meet at the Atlatl Rock picnic area.

COST: This event is free of charge, however, Valley of Fire State Park does have a day-use fee of $10 per vehicle
