Dutch Oven Cooking Program
Treat your case of cabin fever by coming out to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, where Ranger Joshua welcomes you to the original 1876 homestead. He'll be spending the afternoon on the front porch cooking with Dutch ovens and telling stories about daily life at "Sandstone Ranch" - the original name for Spring Mountain Ranch when it was founded in the 1870s. There is no charge to participate in this event. Visitors are invited to sample what’s cookin’ in the Dutch ovens.
WHEN: Saturday, December 9, 11 a.m.
WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 11 miles from the I-215 / West Charleston Boulevard intersection on Highway 159 at 6375 Nevada Highway 159, Blue Diamond, NV 89004.
COST: Entry to Spring Mountain State Park is $9 per vehicle, with a $2 discount for Nevada residents. An annual pass for Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is available for $65. There is no additional fee for this event.
