Have you ever tried traditional Dutch oven cooking? Join park staff and the Northern Sierra Dutch Oven Group for the experience of preparing and cooking in these cast iron pots. This program is limited to 30 participants, so call early to reserve your spot! Reservations can be made by calling (775) 687-4319 or e-mailing us at wlsp@parks.nv.gov. NOTE: If you have attended this program in the previous two years, your name will go on a waiting list so that people who have never attended will be given first preference.

WHAT: Dutch Oven Cooking Class

WHEN: Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Washoe Lake State Park Equestrian Area. Take Exit 10 from I-580 and drive north approximately four miles on Eastlake Blvd. The park entrance is on your left. Turn right, pass the campground, and follow the short gravel road to the equestrian pavilion.

WHO: This event is open to the public and is hosted by the Northern Sierra Dutch Oven Group.

COST:  The park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. There is no additional charge for this program. We are able to accept cash, check, and Visa or Mastercard.
