The annual Dutch oven cook-off at Cathedral Gorge State Park in Panaca will be held April 29th. Participants compete for prizes in four different categories: bread, dessert, main course, and vegetable/side dish. Individuals and teams may enter in more than one category. Winning dishes are decided by a panel of judges. Event participants vote for their favorite dish, the winner receives the People’s Choice Award.
All cooking must be done in a Dutch oven on site the day of the event. Entrants are responsible for providing all food and supplies needed for preparation of the entry.

Pre-registered entries do not require a fee; day of entries will be charge $5 per entry. Cash only.
Cooking starts at 1 p.m. Food Tasting begins around 5:30 p.m.

WHERE: Cathedral Gorge State Park
3 hours north of Las Vegas: I-15 N to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge Road.
1-1/2 hours west of Cedar City, Utah: UT-56 W to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge Road.
1-1/2 hours northwest of St. George, Utah: UT-18 N to UT-56 W to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge Road.
COST: Dish fees waived if pre-registered; $5 per dish day of event. Entrance and camping fees apply; tickets for non-contestant attendees over 12 years of age $5 per person. Cash only.
