Valley of Fire State Park

The Desert Tortoise, Nevada’s state reptile, has survived 60 million years of a changing environment. How has such a slow-moving reptile survived for so long and can it survive for much longer? Join a park ranger and Khufu, a Desert Tortoise, at the Valley of Fire Visitor Center for a half-hour talk about the Desert Tortoise.

WHEN: Sunday, September 1, 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at the Valley of Fire Visitor Center

COST: This event is free of charge; however, Valley of Fire State Park does have a day-use fee of $10 per vehicle.
