Birdwatching for Beginners

Dayton State Park

Meet at the park entrance for an introduction to birdwatching! A limited number of binoculars and bird guides will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them. Park staff will introduce participants to Dayton State Park and its variety of birds before making our way along the Carson River. This family-friendly program will last approximately one hour. Pets are not recommended. Participants should bring a hat, water, sun protection and insect repellant.

WHAT: Birdwatching for Beginners

WHEN: Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.

WHERE: Meet at the park entrance. Dayton State Park. 825 US-50, Dayton, NV 89403. The park is 12 miles east of Carson City on US Highway 50.

COST:  The park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. Cash or check at the self-pay station at the park entrance. There is no additional charge for this event.
