Developed 7 Campground is closed to reservations due to flooding

Due to severe flooding, caused by high water levels, reservations at our Developed 7 Campground located at Lahontan State Recreation Area, are closed. The campground may be available for first come, first serve depending on water level fluctuations over the next couple months. The re-opening of reservations of the campground will be re-evaluated at the end of July when water levels are expected to drop.

Developed 7 campground is the only developed campground on the Silver Springs side of the park. River Camp is available for reservation on the Fallon side of the park, but is limited to smaller vehicles and has limited facilities. Lahontan has plenty of dispersed camping areas available on a first come, first serve basis, however 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are highly recommended as off roading on sandy beaches is required. ADA accommodations are not available in these areas.
