Introduction to rattlesnakes

Spring Valley State Park

Kids of all ages are invited to learn all about Nevada’s most feared reptile, the rattlesnake. Kids will learn how to recognize a rattlesnake, what to do if they encounter one, and why they are important to our environment. To finish the morning off, each participant will have a chance to make one of their own (non-venomous of course) rattlesnakes. Small children should be accompanied by a chaperone and all children should bring drinking water.

WHEN:  Saturday, July 27, 10 a.m.

WHERE: Spring Valley State Park Day Use area

COST:  The program is free, however thee is a park entrance fee of $5.00 per vehicle. An annual day use pass for all Nevada State Parks is available for $75.
