Star Party

The Las Vegas Astronomical Society has been hosting star parties at Cathedral Gorge for almost three decades. The star party tradition continues this May with an evening of stargazing and astronomy talks. Visitors will be treated to the use of high-intensity telescopes, making viewing the wonders of the night sky an extraordinary experience not to be missed.

WHEN: Friday and Saturday May 11 and 12, 7 p.m.
WHERE: Cathedral Gorge State Park
3 hours north of Las Vegas: I-15 N to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge Road.
1-1/2 hours west of Cedar City, Utah: UT-56 W to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge Road.
1-1/2 hours northwest of St. George, Utah: UT-18 N to UT-56 W to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge Road.
COST: Daily park entrance fee $5 per vehicle per day; Camping fee $15 per vehicle per night; $25 per vehicle per night with electric.
