Old Fashioned 4th of July

Celebrate Independence Day the old fashioned way with traditional games, homemade toys and crafts, sweet treats from the 1800s. Activities for all ages will include: sack races, three-legged races, quoits (ring toss), bean bag toss, watermelon seed spitting contest and hand-cranked ice cream. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch and plan to spend the afternoon enjoying the park.

WHEN: Saturday, July 6, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

WHERE: Fort Churchill State Historic Park. Fort Churchill is located 8 miles south of the Highway 95A/Highway 50 intersection on Highway 95A at 10000 Highway 95A, Silver Springs, NV 89429.

COST: Park entrance fees apply, $5.00 per vehicle. There is no additional cost to participate in the event.
