Mojave Spring Fling Festival

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park

In the Mojave Desert spring means more than just wildflowers and warmer days. It means tortoises emerging from winter sleep, tent caterpillar population explosions, cactus blossoms by day and Joshua tree blossoms by moonlight. Join park rangers on Saturday, April 1 for the first annual “Mojave Spring Fling.” Participants will explore all the ways our desert transforms in the springtime with nature-themed crafts, games, live-animal appearances and guided walks. Bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of outdoor fun at this family-oriented event.

WHEN: Saturday, April 1, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 11 miles from the I-215 / West Charleston Boulevard intersection on Highway 159 at 6375 Nevada Highway 159, Blue Diamond, NV 89004.

COST: Entry to Spring Mountain State Park is $9 per vehicle, with a $2 discount for Nevada residents. An annual pass for Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is available for $65. There is no additional fee for this event.
