Life on the Trail

Mormon Station State Historic Park

Stop by the wagon encampment inside the stockade anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to join a park ranger for a brief talk on what life was life for emigrants that traveled west on the California Trail in the 1850s. Rangers will discuss what various aspects of life on the trail such as daily routines and chores, tools used along the journey, and unique hardships travelers encountered.

WHEN: Friday, July 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

WHERE: Mormon Station State Historic Park is located 20 minutes south of Carson City via

Hwy 395, about one hour south of Reno, and approximately 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe via Hwy 207.
