Fish Printing

Washoe Lake State Park

Join park staff for a program featuring Gyotaku, or the Japanese art of Fish Printing, which dates back to the mid-1800s. The park will supply the fish replicas, rice paper, paint, and rollers for participants to create their own works of art to take home! Participants should bring water, sun protection, insect repellant, and be aware that the paint may stain clothing.

WHEN: Sunday, August 19, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Meet near the Main Boat Ramp in the Day Use Area. Take Exit 44 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. approximately four miles. The park entrance is on the left. Turn left past the fee booth and it’s the 3rd parking lot on the right.

COST: The park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. We are able to accept cash, checks, and credit cards. There is no additional charge for this program.
