First Day Hike

Join us for a hike on the first day of 2020! Meet park staff at the Group Use Area inside Dayton State Park at 10 a.m. We will take a short walk (less than one mile) along the Carson River and talk about some of the area’s history. This is a family-friendly event. Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times. Participants should wear hiking boots and dress in layers for the weather.

WHAT: First Day Hike

WHEN: Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WHERE: Meet at the Group Use Area inside Dayton State Park. Dayton is 12 miles east of Carson City on US Highway 50.

WHO: This event is open to the public and is sponsored by Dayton State Park.

COST:  The park entrance fee is waived for this event.

MORE: Participants should bring water, sun protection, binoculars, a camera, and dress in layers for the weather.
