Cancelled: Celebrate Washoe Valley

Washoe Lake State Park

Given our collective efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19, Nevada State Parks will offer only limited day-use service at some state parks, and we urge Nevadans to take part in “flattening the curve” by participating in hyperlocal recreation, such as backyard activities, neighborhood walks and local bicycle rides.

As always, the health and safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority. As a precautionary measure, all scheduled programs and events are canceled until further notice. Please check our website for updates, and thank you for your understanding.

You are invited to come and learn about local organizations in Washoe Valley! Food and drinks will be available for purchase. We will also have live music and fun activities for the whole family! Park entrance fees are waived for this event. For more information, please visit washoevalleyalliance.org and washoevalley.org. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.

WHEN: Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Meet at the Group Use Area (turn left after the fee booth and it is the 2nd parking lot on the right). Additional parking is available in the Maze parking lot and the Day Use Area.
WHO: This event is open to the public and is hosted by the Washoe Valley Alliance.
