CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Nevada Division of State Parks (NSP) will hold a public hearing to receive comments from all interested persons regarding the amendment of regulations that pertain to permits, fees and commercial photography. The hearing will take place in Carson City at the Richard Bryan Building, 901 S. Stewart Street, 2nd floor, Tahoe Hearing room, December 3, 2013 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The public hearing will be available via videoconference from the State Parks Southern Region office at 4747 Vegas Drive, in Las Vegas.
Persons wishing to comment upon the proposed action of NSP may appear at the scheduled public hearing or may present their comments, data, views, or arguments in written form to the Nevada Division of State Parks, 901 S. Stewart Street, Suite 5005, Carson City, NV 89701. Written submissions must be received on or before December 3, 2013.
A copy of the materials relating to the proposal may be obtained at the public hearing or by contacting NSP headquarters in Carson City (775) 684-2770 or the Las Vegas Southern Region at (702) 486-5126. There will be no fee charged for the materials.
The Nevada Division of State Parks plans, develops and maintains a system of parks and recreation areas for the use and enjoyment of more than 3.3 million visitors a year. The division was established in 1963 by the Nevada Legislature to form a new state park agency within the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The division manages and maintains 23 parks, historic sites and recreation areas in Nevada.
