Raley’s donates $25,000 to Nevada State ParksPosted on May 30, 2012 in news | Comments Off
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Raley’s Family of Fine Stores presented a donation of $25,000 to the Nevada Division of State Parks on Thursday, May 24, 2012. The donation comes from Raley’s “Nickel Aid Program,” where the company donates 5 cents for each reusable cloth grocery bag used. Programs like this help Raley’s in their commitment to protect the environment.
“The donation, presented here at Sand Harbor, was extremely generous and will be used for improvements everyone will enjoy at the park,” said Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, Park Supervisor Jay Howard. The funds will go toward replacing old picnic tables and placing new café-style tables near the food concession, with a portion of the tables slated to be ADA compliant.
Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park includes the Sand Harbor, Spooner Backcountry, Cave Rock, and Van Sickle management areas.
