Wildflower identification walk at Washoe Lake State Park on Saturday, May 14
Posted on May 10, 2011 in News, Washoe Lake | Comments OffWASHOE VALLEY, Nev. – Join Nevada State Park rangers for a moderate two-mile walk identifying the beautiful wildflowers in bloom this spring. Bring a wildflower field guide or share one provided by park staff to identify such flowers as phlox, daisies, butterweed, lupine, larkspur, paintbrush and many more.
WHAT: Wildflower Identification Walk for Beginners
WHEN: Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
WHERE: The walk starts at the boat ramp in the day-use area.
COST: There is no charge for the program – however, there is a $7.00 per vehicle entrance fee. Nevada residents receive a $2.00 discount.
