LAS VEGAS – Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is more than just a place for Super Summer Theater plays. The park offers many activities year round for the entire family. There is a $9.00 per vehicle entrance fee. Nevada residents receive a $2.00 discount. Cash and check are accepted. There is no additional charge for the events.

April 16: Full Moon Sandstone Canyon Hike

Enjoy a ranger-led hike into Sandstone Canyon during the full moon. This is a rare opportunity to see the ranch at night and get away from the bright lights of Las Vegas to enjoy a beautiful view of the full moon and stars. We may also see spectacular wildlife. Be 15 minutes early for all hikes. Bring a flashlight, water and wear appropriate attire for the weather. Remember that it can be up to 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas at night.

WHEN: Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Tour Gate within Spring Mountain Ranch State Park.

WHO: The hike is open to the public. Each hike is limited. Reservations are required. To reserve a spot, call 702-875-4141.

Enjoy a ranger led hike into the Ash Grove during the full moon. It is the largest natural Ash Grove outside Arizona. This is a rare opportunity to see the ranch at night and get away from the bright lights of Las Vegas to enjoy a beautiful view of the full moon and the stars. We may also spot burros on this hike. Be 15 minutes early for all hikes. Bring a flashlight, water and wear appropriate attire for the weather. Remember that it can be up to 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas at night.

April 24: Easter Egg Hunt

Forget about hiding eggs for the children this year. Join us for this traditional Easter activity at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. The Easter Bunny will also be hopping around, so don’t forget your cameras. The park fills to capacity early so plan on being here early to ensure admission into the park before the gates close.

WHO: The event is open to the public. Easter egg hunt is for ages 3 to 12.
