LAS VEGAS — Nevada State Parks announced today its March events at Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort. These events are included in the price of park admission. The admission fee is $1.00 per person 13 years and older. Children 12 years and younger are free. Only cash or personal checks are accepted. 3/5/11, Saturday: History of the Hoover Dam. Join a guest speaker for a talk about the history of the Hoover Dam and how it relates to the Old Fort site.

WHERE: Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park at 500 E. Washington Ave, Las Vegas on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Washington Ave.

WHO: Open to the public. Sponsored by the Children Outdoor Bill of Rights.

3/12/11, Saturday: Children’s Hands-on Learning: Pioneer Living. Come join the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers as they teach children of all ages different games and activities the pioneers would play.

3/19/11, Saturday: Soldiers of the Fort: Civil War and the South West. Watch re-enactors portray Civil War Soldiers during the New Mexico campaign in 1862.
